We are at the starting gate … and I can’t wait! Welcome to the first blog for Catholic Education Parramatta’s Learnscope team. I thought that it might be useful for you to know about some of the other blogs that are currently being written by others in the Diocese. Let the team know of other Diocesan blogs that you subscibe to – the more the merrier I think
BlogEd is found on the Staffnet site and has started quite strongly – like all blogs, it ebbs and flows a bit (depending on topic) but it is a terrific source for views of the CEO executive – direct from them. I can’t seem to subscribe to these successfully, so I just check them weekly (but if anyone has successfully subscribed let me know.)
Some others that you can subscribe to are below. Although the blogs I have listed do not necessarily have a senior secondary focus, the information in them can add to your own professional learning, inform your P.D. plans for yourself and others, and build your network within the Diocese. Judy’s blog, especially, will provide an invaluable resource to you as you finalise and implement your Learning/Project plans – and why not follow up on her del.icio.us links too?
Hey Jude - Judy O’Connell’s award winning blog on education (Judy also has a library blog)
EdLib - News and resources from Catholic Education Parramatta Library
Bee-Bots - Bee-Bots are programmable floor toys being introduced to Diocesan Classrooms to support literacy and numeracy development. This blog charts their introduction and use in classrooms.
Technoblog – using technology to reflect, engage and empower at St Michael’s Primary School, Blacktown South.
Looking forward to hearing of other blogs, and your comments on our first post!
Congratulations on getting the blog up and running! I hope you find it a good way of capturing your learning journey over the next 6 months. Let us know how we can assist.
